I need to mount a trail flag soon and I was wondering about the how and where. I'm sure I could come up with something but wanted a bit of food for thought. Suggestions please..

I just took a piece of 3/8" ID tubing about a foot long and bolted it to my tire carrier. I wrapped the flag pole with some electrical tape so it fits snug into the tube. Seems to work O-K.

 

A member in a local club I belong to made one for me out of aluminum, I think. It's threaded at the bottom to screw into the holes where the floaties used to be on the front bumper. It could work on the back as well. My avatar kind of shows you where it is, it's a small pic though.

 

I just zip tie the the flagpole it to my CB antenna. Since the zip ties and flagpole are plastic, I see no interference with the CB.

 

I go one step more cheesy than Elwarpo. I zip tie my flag directly to my CB antenna.

 

I mount mine to the windshield light bracket I've installed on the driver side ... I only have a light on the passenger side so this works great.

 

If the top is off I just ziptie to the rollbar...

I have seen someone take a fiberglass pole and set it right in the hinge of the rear gate and close the gate. I don't know how well it worked but it was an idea. I have a 102" steel whip on my rear bumper that I zip tie mine too.

 

Slip them over your CB antenna. The trail flags I've seen, including those given away by Warn, are designed to be used in this manner.
